The Perception-Action Approach has received renewed interest in light of recent research on the importance of optimal movement variability and functional, task -oriented movement. This course is designed for therapists and interested persons with little or no experience with the Perception-Action Approach. It will provide knowledge in foundational vocabulary, theory and concepts. Video analysis of a treatment session and a lab session will reinforce learning objectives. The concepts can be used in a variety of settings and can be taught to caregivers to promote efficient movement. Participants will be able to apply concepts at the end of the course. This multi level course prepares participants for the Level 1 and Level 2 Perception-Action Approach courses.
