This course will show how the aquatic principles will impact therapy, along with precautions and contraindications. It will explore aquatic therapy techniques and how they can impact poor head and trunk control and impaired balance and coordinations decreased ROM, strength and endurance. It will also cover the impact of aquatic therapy on sensory motor processing disorder/autism spectrum and speech and language impairments. Finally it will discuss the division of Goals and Treatment for PT, OT and Speech and Language Therapist’s in the Aquatic Setting and evidence based research in aquatic pediatric therapy.
