This course will present recent research on the latest innovations in joint replacement surgery including minimally invasive techniques for joint replacements. The most current line of total knee and hip replacements will be reviewed and the application to clinical rehabilitation. Specific guidelines including manual therapy and exercise programs will be addressed for ligament instability, leg length discrepancy, and pelvic obliquity following joint replacement surgery. Joint and soft tissue mobilizations will be utilized in demonstration and lab sessions for the home health setting and outpatient rehabilitation.
