The CACTIS Foundation, in collaboration with the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix, invites you to join recognized thought leaders at the 7th Annual "Current Topics in Sports Medicine – Concussions: 2019" on March 9th, 2019 at the Biomedical Sciences Partnership Building in Phoenix, Arizona. The conference features an innovative and unique program with nationally recognized experts in the field of concussion assessment and management, highlighted again this year by a keynote address to be delivered by Dr. Christopher Giza. Dr. Giza is head of the Pediatric Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) clinic at UCLA, Professor of Pediatric Neurology and Neurosurgery and Director of the UCLA Steve Tisch BrainSPORT: Sports Concussion - Mild TBI Program. The faculty includes experts in the area of concussion management, neurology, neuro-optometry, neurotrauma research and physical medicine and rehabilitation who come together to present the latest research and treatments for patients of all ages, and from all causes. The goal is to link experts and researchers with providers and those administering and involved with programs for individuals at risk for concussions to enhance the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of these individuals. Pre- and post- course questionnaires will be administered to attendees, and CME and CE credit will be offered to attendees.
