Subacromial impingement syndrome (SIS) is a common diagnosis presenting to primary care physicians and is commonly seen in individuals who participate in overhead activities. The goal of this CEU course is to describe a conservative physical therapy plan that was successful in the treatment of a functional classification of SIS. We will take a closer look at a case report of an athlete with a left shoulder injury. The course will identify the manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and home exercise program that was given to the patient, as well as the outcome measures that determined the success of the given therapy plan of care. Overall, this CEU will provide a literature-based report using current evidence for best practice for a conservative treatment of SIS.
