This presentation will excite the animal enthusiast! Come learn how Physical Therapists utilize their unique skill set in the practice of animal physical rehabilitation. As Physical Therapists, we have become an integral part of animals recovery and overall health in the last 20 years. You will be amazed at how well our expertise translates to our four-legged companion animals once additional training on animals is completed. We will discuss the education component to become competent to work on animals, share with you some of our experiences and what we do out in the ‘real world’ as canine rehabilitation therapists. We will also explore the challenges and successes in the 3 states (CA, NV, AZ) from a statutory and regulatory perspective and discuss ways to get involved to make a meaningful legislative change for the future of our profession.
