A RESEARCH-BASED CERTIFICATION PROGRAM ON YOGA AND INTEGRATIVE MEDICINE FOR BRAIN HEALTH AND HEALTHY AGING. Baby boomers are the fastest growing segment of our population and today over 5 million adults are diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in the U.S. alone. You can become part of the movement towards healthy aging and Alzheimer’s prevention through this highly informative, four-day session. This training is perfectly suited for yoga teachers, therapists, and healthcare providers to enhance your practice and/or class instruction. As a participant, you will increase your knowledge and credibility around neuroscience and yoga and the impact meditation has on the brain. Plus, you’ll walk away with practical tools you can start implementing on day 1 to enhance your teaching and/or practice. COURSE FORMAT: #BLTT19 is made up of the following: Module 1: Brain Longevity Therapy Training. This course is developed as a blended-learning format. A portion of your curriculum will be accessible online starting in August 2019, so you can learn from the comfort of your home and take open-book exams. The second part of the program will be an in-person classroom format in Scottsdale, Arizona on October 24 and 25. Module 2: Brain Longevity Symposium. All participants and previous graduates from Module 1 are invited and strongly encouraged to extend their registration and participate in the Brain Longevity Symposium on October 26 and 27. This Symposium is a gathering of all Brain Longevity Specialists to learn the latest developments in breakthroughs of ARPF-sponsored research studies, and exchange experiences and ideas with each other. This includes the Welcome Reception and Graduation Ceremony on Saturday evening, October 26. MODULE 1 WILL COVER THE FOLLOWING TOPICS SUPPORTED BY RESEARCH: • ARPF’s 4 Pillars of Alzheimer’s Prevention, including Diet, Stress Management practices that incorporate evidence-based yoga therapy protocols, Physical and Mental Exercise and Spiritual Fitness • Functional Brain Anatomy • Etiology of Alzheimer’s disease including a comprehensive review of medical and lifestyle risk factors • Stress management protocols that incorporate evidence-based yoga therapy protocols • The importance of sleep & socialization ATTENDEES OF MODULE 1 WILL BE PROVIDED WITH: • Brain Longevity® Specialist Certificate • Use of the exclusive Brain Longevity® Specialist logo for marketing purposes • Comprehensive training manual, with comprehensive essays and instructor notes (downloadable) • Powerpoint slides ready for your use in presentations and workshops (downloadable) • 25 CEU hours for the following allied healthcare providers: Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Psychoanalysts, Social Workers, Counselors/Marriage and Family Therapists, Creative Arts Therapists, Chemical Dependency Counselors ($40 additional fee required). • CE credits for Certified Care Managers • 25 CE credits for yoga therapists and yoga teachers • One-year membership and directory listing • One-year Continuing Education via webinars, mentoring and coaching support MODULE 2 WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: • Five research update lectures from researchers and medical professionals • One lecture on Best Practices in Clinical Yoga Therapy Care • Lunch with the Expert on Saturday • Small group discussion and sharing, by professional interest • Special Award Reception on Saturday evening • 13 CEU hours for the following allied healthcare providers: Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Psychoanalysts, Social Workers, Counselors/Marriage and Family ($20 additional fee required) • 13 CE credits for yoga therapists and yoga teachers
