Credit Description:

There are a variety of circumstances when clients cannot leave their rooms. We saw this scenario occur during the COVID 19 crisis. Social distancing and isolation can be detrimental to our client’s physical and cognitive health. When a client is unable to leave their room, therapists play a unique role. We have the opportunity to work with clients in their living spaces to offer tools and treatment strategies to enable our clients to achieve their highest quality of life. Because therapy is client-centered, it plays an important role in the success of those who are isolated or unable to leave their living spaces. This seminar offers tools and treatment strategies for working with clients in their rooms/living spaces. It provides and in depth review of treatment ideas, home safety strategies to integrate into client care, ways to integrate technology into treatment sessions, and documentation principles for in room treatment sessions.
