All contractures are not alike and require treatment protocols that vary by contracture type. This course will review the etiology and pathology of post injury/surgery contractures, joint deformities due to Rheumatoid Arthritis, adaptive tissue shortening contractures, and contractures complicated neurological dysfunction and spasticity. In addition, to improving understanding of contracture etiology and pathology, effective treatment interventions by contracture type will be discussed.
