Developing examination and treatment from intellectual curiosity to intellectual honesty from the first moment of contact to discharge. Experts do the basics unfailingly well. This will be a 30,000 foot view of that which we should see from a long way out. -does the patient belong in physical therapy? -what clues do we get from the way that they function in simple weight transference in gait? -what can we learn by looking through an appropriate lens? Part 1 will address the recognition of PT yes or no from real case vignettes Part 2 will take real case videos of gait to identify the patient’s actual impairment & what needs to change to bring them to independence Part 3 will be genuine observation of a live patient to see what we can learn if we are actively observing from the beginning of our encounter Each part will be broken into a 45-50 minute presentation followed with 10-15 minute question/answer and discussion
