This course will enable attendees to have a better understanding of how genetic mutations can lead to primary lymphedema as well as presenting specific gene mutations that have already been discovered. In addition, there will be discussion of alternate classification models of primary lymphedema including the St. George’s Algorithm of Primary Lymphedema. The course will also provide information on identifying specific characteristics that may assist in recognizing patients who present with primary lymphedema as well as differential diagnoses. Best practice and clinically proven treatment options for primary lymphedema will be provided.
