Course Description: Basic Dry Needling for Pain Management is an introductory postgraduate level course designed to provide the Chiropractic Physician, or Doctor of Physical Therapy, the level of competency to begin using Dry Needling as safely and effectively as possible via a lecture, demonstration and practicum format. The techniques in this course cover the most commonly treated regions of the body with the lowest risk of adverse event for the new practitioner. The purpose of this course is to endow the attendee with the knowledge and skills to integrate Dry Needling into the milieu of their other physical medicine modalities within the context of evidence-based practice. It will also provide the foundation for the practitioner who chooses to advance their practice to more advanced techniques in the future. My goal is to make every patient patient who receives Dry Needling in a Chiropractic or Physical Therapy setting as safe as possible while receiving effective treatment based on their goals and values.
