Hamstrings muscle strain often occurs during sporting events / activities where the muscle group is actively stretched by simultaneous hip flexion and knee extension movements. The goal of this CEU course is to examine the acute effects different dynamic exercise interventions on hamstring muscle performance and primary risk factors. We will review the effects of jogging alone as well as in combination with dynamic open or closed chain kinetic activities to evaluate to associated flexibility, joint position sense, muscle stiffness, maximal eccentric strength and peak torque with each group of activities.
