This 2-hour course is designed to address and meet challenges commonly faced by children with neuromuscular deficits. This course will look beyond biomechanics and alignment. While those deficits are very important for physical therapists and orthotists to understand, the focus on participation will help the entire team communicate effectively, work toward common goals and increase family and patient compliance. The Surestep Education Team has worked closely with families and patients to develop this patient-centered course. Building on foundational knowledge, attendees will learn to evaluate and recommend orthotic solutions that will maximize patient participation.
