Lower back pain is the most prevalent painful problem globally and accounts for the most years lost to disability in the western world. Diagnosis and treatment both remain challenging due to the non specific nature of many presentations. Si joint pain forms part of this unclear clinical picture and has been proposed as a more specific diagnosis. We explore the anatomy, assessment & rehab from an evidence based perspective.
