This mini-fellowship, prepared and curated by Movement Disorder’s Fellowship trained neurologists, aims to improve neurological care for patients with Parkinson’s Disease (PD). The aim of the course is to improve the patient neurological care in Parkinson Disease by enhancing the training of the care providers and trainees across all the programs. Effective treatment of PD ideally requires a multidisciplinary approach with involvement of the treating physician and nurse, case managers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other ancillary staff as needed. Techniques such as deep brain stimulation surgery are fast becoming the standard of care; thereby, requiring the addition of a neurosurgeon to the multidisciplinary care team. Common cognitive complications also frequently call for the involvement of behavioral neurologists, psychiatrists, and psychologists. The Internet Enduring Material course offers a more immersive experience for participants who would like to enhance their knowledge of PD care. This track will include 10 modules that you have to complete in sequential order. Each module will include the video recording of the live session, additional reading materials, short reflection-based assignments, quizzes and pre- and post-course tests. Registration fee is $100.00 for physicians and $75 for all other health care professionals. Learners must complete all sessions to receive credit.
