Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a complex disease in which individuals experience in different ways. It is important for all staff and volunteers working in the long-term care setting to understand the potential effects of AD and how to use evidence-based information to provide person-centered interactions and care for individuals with AD. This learning activity provides a summary of risk factors, diagnosis, and treatment for persons with Alzheimer’s disease.
