It is important for staff working with older adults in the long-term care setting to have cultural awareness of what diversity is present in the facility and acknowledge of any personal biases that might influence care provision. This educational activity will explore how to provide person-centered care that addresses sexual orientation of older adults in the long-term care setting and leads to treating residents with respect and dignity.
