Active Mobilizations & Taping is a 5-hour continuing education course designed for healthcare providers, including physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, occupational therapists, and occupational therapist assistants. This course starts with general guidelines for safe practice of mobilizations and taping. The mobilizations that will be covered include soft tissue mobilizations, instrument assisted mobilizations, joint mobilizations, and movement with mobilization. Kinesiology taping will include muscle facilitation, muscle inhibition, and mechanical correction techniques. Both mobilizations and taping techniques will be taught for cervical, shoulder, periscapular, thoracic/rib, lumbar, knee, ankle, and foot pain. Attendees must follow their scope of practice when performing these techniques. Mobilizations and taping are taught within the framework of physical therapy diagnosis and treatment guidelines.
