This course is designed to provide the student with the background of how to evaluate and treat patients with disorders of the temporomandibular joint. They will be taught basic clinical skills for diagnosing and treating specific syndromes affecting the temporomandibular joint by recognizing signs and symptoms related to those syndromes. Through lecture and demonstration, the participants will be covering topics in anatomy, biomechanics and pathology related to the temporomandibular joint. Differential diagnosis will be taught to assist with competency for direct access. Intervention strategies will be taught based on current evidence to remedy these impairments.
