This course provides innovative treatment interventions for therapy practitioners providing neurorehab in home health. Evidence-based practice particularly for stroke and or other acquired brain or spinal cord injuries are used to support therapeutic interventions for impairments related to the trunk (core stabilization) and extremities in a variety positions. Participants are shown and have the opportunity to practice specific clinical interventions to facilitate skeletal muscle activity that will improve and or maintain range motion and functional mobility skills using items in the home. Additionally, the instructor will provide instructions on how to make items that can be used in the home to facilitate functional mobility skills. Social determinants of health are addressed using concepts of diversity, inclusion, equity and or belonging in a person-centered manner so that skills learn can be immediately applied to therapy plans of care.
