This course will explore the basics behind tissue healing and how the knowledge of the surgical procedure and the tissues impacted will influence the protocol the physician uses. We will assume basic knowledge of most surgeries, but discuss the specific in-operative things a surgeon may do that will impact how a person progresses throughout therapy. We will focus then on lab time specifically on advanced skills on handling a painful joint post operatively, how to appropriate activate muscles experiencing arthrogenic muscle inhibition and advanced techniques for getting motion in the knee and shoulder.
