This continuing education course will provide physical therapists with an in-depth understanding of high-velocity resistance training (HVRT) as a method of rehabilitation in post-acute care facilities. The course will cover the benefits and risks of HIRT, as well as the specific techniques and protocols involved in implementing HVRT into a post-acute care plan. Participants will learn how to design and modify HVRT programs for patients with varying levels of fitness and mobility and will gain hands-on experience in implementing HVRT exercises and equipment. Participants will be guided through and practice exercises taught during the course that can be used the knowledge gained in the course on their patients.
