The OEP is a series of 17 strength and balance exercises delivered by a PT that may reduce falls between 35 and 40% for frail older adults. The OEP has been tested and demonstrated to be effective for reducing falls and fall-related injuries among high-risk individuals. The OEP uses standardized exercises of progressive difficulty to improve strength and balance, combined with a walking program. This seminar will explain the concepts of OEP and how to integrate this program as part of the PT plan of care.
