There are thirteen types of EDS that affect systemic function in different ways. EDS is a disorder that takes a multidisciplinary approach to manage effectively. Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants need to be well educated on the recognition of EDS and effective intervention strategies to optimize the quality of life for their patients.
