Credit Description:

The incidence of clients with wounds is increasing because of an aging population, increased numbers of diabetic patients, and the growing epidemic of obesity. Therapists are important members of the comprehensive wound management team. This webinar will review the foundations of client advocacy and how it applies to clients at risk for arterial skin breakdown. This session will also address the importance of identifying arterial insufficiency as the etiology of a wound and equally important to identify a wound of mixed etiology. Finally, the webinar will also explore client centered treatment options for clients with arterial insufficiency with focus on maintaining function. The strategies addressed in this session will help individuals go back to their clients and focus on continued quality improvement plans.
