This hands-on workshop will teach you how to train the client with lower extremity amputation in safe and successful ambulation with a prosthesis via use of the “Mandatory Mechanics for Successful Prosthetic Gait”. Through hands-on labs you will learn what these “Mandatory Mechanics” are and how to employ them to help your client achieve their best possible prosthetic gait quality and functional use of the prosthesis. The participant will also learn the basics of prosthetic fit, alignment and prosthetic gait deviations in order to partner with the client’s prosthetist for maximal outcomes. By the end of this hands-on course the participant will be able to utilize this new information and skill set to successfully train LE amputees in the prosthetic rehab phase of their recovery.
