A Level I Basic Neuro Vision Course will be held for ~1 day, followed by a Level II Advanced Neuro Vision Course for ~1 day. This course is delivered in a live, in-person format. This educational course will provide an opportunity for rehabilitation professionals focusing on medical and rehabilitative treatment interventions for visual disturbances in the neurological population. This course will be instructed via handouts and hands-on workshop opportunities. ● Participants will gain a basic understanding of the anatomy and function of normal visual systems, while becoming familiar with common visual terminology ● Participants will understand the value of an interdisciplinary approach to visual rehabilitation, the functional impacts of visual impairments, and a basic visual screen for referrals to vision specialists ● Participants will develop 5+ clinical observation skills to assist with treatment planning for the patient with visual and visual-perceptual impairments ● Participants will learn and practice the 4+ basic and advanced treatment approaches addressing visual deficits including environmental modifications and remedial visual therapy exercises.
