In this course, we will review the evidence that supports the ability of AFOs to enhance gait speed, improve mobility, and bolster dynamic balance. Many cases of drop-foot impairment are regressive, meaning that patients gradually recover over time. Recognizing that an individual's needs may evolve during the recovery process, it is imperative to continually assess and adapt their assistive devices. In particular, stroke research underscores the profound impact of Ankle-Foot Orthoses (AFOs) in this journey towards recovery. At Elevate Movement, we oer a unique, step-wise adaptable approach that aligns with users' progress throughout their rehabilitation journey. Regardless of the cause of the impairment, we are committed to empowering individuals with the right tools at each stage of recovery, ensuring they regain their mobility and independence.
