Diabetes is a condition in which the body does not produce enough insulin or when the cells in the body do not react normally to insulin. When diabetes is present, the level of glucose in the blood becomes too high, which can cause multiple chronic health problems. In this course, the rehabilitation professional will receive an overview of diabetes, related complications, treatment options, and their role in addressing diabetes with their patients.
