In this course, you will examine health disparities and inequities that exist when serving a diverse population in long term care settings. It is imperative that we learn from current health disparities and inequities and understand how to engage clients who have been affected. This course will describe the resources available from the US Department of Health and Human Service Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion’s Healthy People 2030 to address health disparities and inequities. This course will also outline evidence-based strategies to decrease health disparities and inequities in LTC settings.
