This 2-hour course is aimed at improving vestibular examination, differential diagnosis, and treatment in the acute care setting. There will be a review of relevant neuroanatomy, common peripheral and central pathologies seen in the acute care setting, and both subjective and objective components of an examination. Emphasis will be placed on interpretation of these findings for accurate vestibular diagnosis. Breakout practice will be provided for oculomotor and vestibular screening, as well as treatment of BPPV which is commonly seen in the acute care setting. A final case example will be provided for analysis and reflection.
