Areas that need to be emphasized such as socialization, nutrition, and hopelessness are often overlooked. Education with this topic will enhance the outcomes of Physical Therapy interventions and referral to healthcare professionals to impact quality of life. Frail Elder Syndrome is defined through the research to include, among other things, difficulty walking, insufficient nutrition, difficulty with physical activity, decline in self-care, fatigue and social isolation. Medical professionals may be collaborating with clients with Frail Elder Syndrome, not recognizing that this is reversible.
