This program is designed for licensed, practicing physical therapists in the Philippines who have already earned an entry-level degree in physical therapy. This post-professional graduate plan of study enables physical therapists to improve their clinical reasoning, knowledge and clinical skills through a specific program in advanced physical therapy practice. The musculoskeletal physical therapy certificate offers a comprehensive study in patient/client management model to patients (across the lifespan) with musculoskeletal conditions. Students are instructed in and practice the integration of the five elements of care (evidence-based examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment (therapeutic exercise, manual therapy and other interventions) of the patient/client with MSK conditions . This program is designed to provide advanced clinical skills in the areas of musculoskeletal physical therapy. There are three (3) courses and a certification examination to successfully achieve the Cert-MSK credential. The certification cycle is annually held. Course 1 is January-February; Course 2 is April-May; Course 3 July-August and certification examination in November of each year. Each course is an 8-week program that runs via google classroom. Synchronous schedule is every Saturday, 20:00 to 23:00H (Philippine Time); Asynchronous hours (21H) will be spent by the student on their own time via reference readings, journal synthesis, and assignments. Each course totaling 45 hours credit.
