Functional Maintenance Programs are designed to optimize and maintain a client’s performance after they are discharged from therapy. The specialized skill, knowledge and judgment of a therapist are required to design or establish the plan, assure client safety, train the client, family members and/or unskilled personnel. This seminar will review the foundations of functional maintenance programs in the long term care setting. It will also introduce strategies for creating and implementing these maintenance interventions in your community.
