PRRT Level 1 Seminar focuses on learning to examine and treat areas in the musculoskeletal system which demonstrate the nocioceptive startle reflex (NSR) which has also been called trigger points. Lecture and lab time are spent allowing for time to palpate for the NSR's in the entire body. Development of palpatory and hands-on skills provides enhanced results with treatment techniques. By the end of the training, practitioners will be able to perform the 1 Minute Nocioceptive Exam and chose the appropriate techniques taught to release the nocioceptive reflex mechanisms leading to pain & dysfunction. Palpatory assessment of 23 anatomical regions in the 1 Minute Nocioceptive Exam. Perform the PRRT maneuvers appropriate from the 1 Minute Nocioceptive Exam. Re-examine to determine the absence of the nocioceptive startle reflex. Assess for presence of restored, normal range of motion and spontaneity of motion. PRRT Level 2 Seminar focuses on learning how to examine and treat areas in the musculo-skeletal system which demonstrate the nocioceptive startle reflex (NSR) which has also been called trigger points by Dr. Travell and others. Lecture and lab time are spent allowing for time to palpate for the NSR's in the entire body thus locating the sources of pain restricted motion and dysfunction. Development of palpatory and hands-on skills provides enhanced results with treatment techniques giving therapists more confidence in their outcomes. By the end of the training, practitioners will be able to perform the 1 Minute Nocioceptive Exam and chose the appropriate techniques taught to release the nocioceptive reflex (NSR’s) mechanisms leading to pain & dysfunction. Palpatory assessment of 23 anatomical regions in the 1 Minute Nocioceptive Exam Perform the PRRT maneuvers appropriate from the 1 Minute Nocioceptive Exam Re-examine to determine the absence of the nocioceptive startle reflex. Assess for presence of restored, normal range of motion and spontaneity of motion. Emphasis on home maneuvers to reinforce hands-on treatment. Attendees will have a full review of contraindications and safety precautions to be used in conjunction with PRRT.
