This course offers a comprehensive overview of neuromodulation approaches in spinal cord injury (SCI) rehabilitation, with a focus on both adult and pediatric populations. Participants will begin by examining the historical evolution of neuromodulation and its application in rehabilitation. The course will then explore current types of neuromodulation used in the adult SCI population. Special attention will be given to identifying current research gaps in doing neuromodulation with pediatric SCI patients. Finally, the course will address the feasibility of transcutaneous spinal stimulation in both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation settings, offering practical insights for integration into clinical practice.
