This course will offer an interdisciplinary approach to improving patient outcomes by incorporating safe patient handling and mobility for specific profession-based tasks to reduce injury risk when completing lateral transfers, transfers out of bed, bed positioning, physical and occupational therapy and positioning for procedures. Attendees will learn patient risks of immobility and come away with specific strategies for utilizing SPHM equipment to promote safe mobility for daily tasks such as patient transfers and floor recovery after a fall.
