The Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Certificate Program is an online curriculum of postprofessional didactic education for physical therapists. Participants can enroll in a single course or complete the full five-course program to earn a certificate. The five courses are: • Course 1: Effective Physical Therapy Practice • Course 2: Cervicothoracic • Course 3: Lumbopelvic • Course 4: Lower Quarter • Course 5: Upper Quarter This certificate program consists of a combination of didactic asynchronous lectures, guided independent study, online assessments and skill demonstration videos. Each course integrates the APTA’s Academy of Orthopedic Physical Therapy’s Clinical Practice Guidelines. The program goals are to establish evidence-informed practice principles, promote life long learning, and develop the content knowledge, clinical reasoning and psychomotor skills to allow participants to confidently provide care for orthopedic medical conditions.
