The 8th Annual Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine Summit is a hybrid course offering live lectures as well as a simultaneous livestream. It covers all aspects of the upper extremity including the hand/wrist, elbow, and shoulder. In addition, it reviews physical exam techniques, appropriate imaging modalities, rehabilitation strategies, and when surgery is indicated. This course provides an update on the use of biologics for common upper extremity injuries, and discusses all aspects of the care of the overhead/throwing athlete with live ultrasound demonstrations. Faculty representing orthopedics, physical medicine and rehabilitation, radiology, plastic surgery, athletic training, and physical therapy lead didactic and interactive case presentations and panel discussions.
