Designing effective interventions for individuals with spinal cord injuries (SCI) goes beyond knowing the expected outcomes at each injury level. To deliver truly comprehensive care, rehab professionals must also consider how mobility, ADLs and functional task performance evolve across the continuum of recovery. This course integrates two hours of pre-course online content with two immersive days of hands-on labs, clinical reasoning and functional problem solving. Participants will learn to address complications, shoulder pain, seating and positioning, functional task training and progressive mobility strategies for a range of injury levels. The emphasis is on practical, real-world interventions designed to enhance participation, independence and therapeutic outcomes for both PT and OT practice.
