This advanced level course provides an overview of an interdisciplinary brain injury (BI) program in an acute rehabilitation setting. Through virtual workshop activities, participants will gain an understanding of how to apply key brain injury clinical practice guidelines to maximize functional outcomes as an interdisciplinary team. The clinical practice guidelines topics will include family/caregiver support, sensory stimulation, cognition/cognitive rehabilitation, sleep disturbance/fatigue, pain, behavior management, psychosocial needs, and motor function and control. Learners will apply appropriate concepts to discuss three different patient cases along the Rancho Los Amigos Scale- Revised (Level 3, 4, and 6).
