Clinical Pilates in Rehabilitation: An Evidence-Based Approach for Physiotherapists This comprehensive training program offers physiotherapists an evidence-based specialization in Clinical Pilates, with a unique focus on motor control and myofascial line integration. Throughout the three-module course, participants are trained in the progressive Clinical Pilates exercise system, including exercise indications, contraindications, modifications, clinical applications, and diverse teaching methods. The program includes in-depth instruction on Clinical Pilates assessment procedures and the development of individualized patient profiles based on motor control stages, functional levels, neuromuscular development, and fascial line patterns. Emphasis is placed on clinical reasoning to support the design of personalized Clinical Pilates programs for both one-to-one and group sessions. Participants will gain hands-on experience with mat-based exercises (Matwork) and small equipment (e.g. ring, resistance bands, weights, foam rollers, balance disks, Swiss balls, massage balls). Additionally, the course explores the clinical application of large equipment (Reformer, Tower, Chair) in rehabilitation settings. Clinical case studies are presented across a variety of populations, including musculoskeletal conditions, athletic performance, fuctional disorders, pregnancy, and special populations. The program equips professionals with the tools and knowledge needed to safely and effectively integrate Clinical Pilates into their physiotherapy practice.
